Extend the summer with a relaxing, peaceful week in the Carribean!!
Curaçao Island
The Hidden Gem of the Carribean
September 11-18, 2025

Curaçao, the hidden gem of the Carribean, is an autonomous country island within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Located in the southern Carribean sea, it is the largest of the ABC islands, right between Aruba and Bonaire. The ABC islands are below the hurricane line, which makes it the perfect choice for a September trip. Best known for its prestine beaches, scuba diving and snorkeling, Curaçao's unique ecological sites and vibrant culture make it unlike any other Caribbean island.
Activity Level
Initial Itinerary
Activity level for this trip: EASY - you decide how much activity you want, but you must be able to climb stairs and get in and out of a van. That's it! Come and do nothing at all, or explore the island in our rental van. Travelers with some mobility issues are welcome, but the house is not wheel chair accessable.
This trip will be a laid back vacation, surrounded by natural beauty. We will travel by van to explore the island as a group. Each day, we will have breakfast at home and decide which of the many sites/activities to explore. Lunches will be either at the house or picnics/restaurants as we travel. We'll head out in the evenings for dinner and some live music.
Here are some of our options:
Snorkeling or Relaxing Pool Side - right at the house! We have a 6 bedroom, 7 bathroom home, with a pool and direct access to the sea.
Click Here for more pictures of the house.

Shete Boka National Park - located on the north coast just 15 mins from home where the coast is rocky and the waves are intense. The park begins at Boka Tabla, where huge waves thunder into an underground cavern. You can walk along the limestone bluffs above for a spectacular view of Curacao's rugged north coast. The inlets in the park are protected turtle breeding areas.

Flamingo Sanctuary - watch these graceful birds in their natural habitat. Flamingos are drawn to Curaçao because of the climate and the fact that Curaçao's protected areas help preserve their natural environment.

Klein Knip Beach - a beautiful, less touristy beach just a 4 min walk from our home. It is considered one of the most intimate beaches in Curaçao without the crowds. Snorkeling is fantastic and there is a 20 foot cliff jump for the brave-hearted (I'm guessing most of us will just watch.)

Willemstad UNESCO World Heritage City -Willemstad is an example of a well-preserved Dutch colonial trading settlement It has four historic districts. The social and cultural differences from Afro-American, Iberian and Caribbean inhabitants have contributed to enriching the building traditions as well as the city’s cultural life.

(There is an extra fee for those who want to go diving.)

Swim with the turtles - Playa Grandi beach is the best place to swim with the sea turtles. They are gentle creatures that may even come close to you in the water! This is an experience of a life time.

These are just some options - as stated above, we can be flexible. What do YOU want to do?
