Sustainable Tourism in Italy
Italy is one of the environmental sustainability leaders in Europe. Many businesses in Italy are at the European forefront of improving the environment as well as promoting respect for all people, inclusion and social solidarity. They are leading other European nations in lowering greenhouse gas emissions, consuming fewer raw materials, consuming less energy and recycling.

What Makes our Trips So Special
Limited to 11 women! This trip is a little different from most of the KWT trips. In an effort to be more inclusive, we have increased the size of the group to allow for certain options based on the mobility of the travelers. These options are outlined in the itinerary below. The beauty of small-group travel is that our itinerary is somewhat flexible. It also gives us time to really get to know each other and develop friendships. Many of our travelers keep in touch with each other long after the trip ends, some even traveling again with the same group of women.
Getting Around - We will travel through Italy in a variety of ways...by van, boat and minibus.
Lodging - By renting local houses, we are better able to get to know each other and really relax when we get home from a day of touring. We will be staying 3 nights in the Naples countryside on the Gulf of Naples and 6 nights on the quiet end of the Amalfi Coast.
Meals - In each house the kitchen will be stocked with breakfast foods catered to your preferences. Lunches will be simple to allow us to keep exploring. Most dinners will be at local restaurants so you can order from the menu. In addition to dining out, we will have a private chef come to the house to prepare dinner for us on our day of arrival.
Activity level for this trip is Varied - Italy is VERY hilly, which is why we are offering a couple of different levels of activities. Women with some difficulty walking may want to limit what they do and see, while others may want to do a small group tour that requires more walking and more steps. Unfortunately, we can not accommodate wheelchairs. (Women with mobility issues should consult their physicians.) The pricing will be based on your desired level of activity. The base price covers everything listed below. You will then have the opportunity to sign up for a small group tour that require more walking and more steps.

Option 2:
A more laid back way to spend the day is visiting Vico Equense, a spectacular coastal town on the Sorrentine Peninsula, renowned for its cuisine and breathtaking clifftop views of the Bay of Naples and Mt. SUNDAY, SEPT. 20TH
Today we head to our new home for the next 6 nights in Nerano, a charming cliffside fishing village on the Sorrento Peninsula, nestled between the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts. It is world-renowned for its pristine pebble beaches at Marina del Cantone, its crystal-clear waters inside the Punta Campanella Marine Reserve and as the birthplace of the famous Spaghetti alla Nerano. Our house has 5 different apartments, 11 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. Click HERE for pictures.

On the way to the house, we'll stop in Sorrento for an authentic culinary experience immersed in the beauty of the Sorrento coast! The class takes place in a family's garden, where you can personally pick fresh seasonal vegetables. Together we will prepare typical dishes of the Campanian tradition, using genuine ingredients and recipes handed down for generations.
We will learn the secrets of Sorrento cuisine, from the classic gnocchi alla sorrentina to the delicious eggplant parmesan. At the end of the course we'll enjoy your creations in a relaxed and familial atmosphere surrounded by olive trees and Mediterranean scents. A unique experience for those who love cuisine, nature and local culture.
